Ricky and Daniela’s wedding was March 30th, 2013 at the Newport Beach Marriott. They had their ceremony in the newly remodeled lower courtyard and reception in one of the banquet rooms. DJ Sota Entertainment provided Teal Blue Up lights and DJ Diego was their DJ. We played a mix of latin and American music and all the guest had a great time dancing, especially the Bride. DJ Diego also made announcements in both English and Spanish to help make sure all the guest were involved. Agape Planning did a great job of coordinating the event and Joanna Miriam was their photographer and got some great photos. Enjoy them below!

John and Claudine got married on March 9th 2013. Their ceremony was at a Beautiful Church in Los Angeles followed by a really fun reception at The Brandview Ballroom in Glendale. It was an Egyptian wedding, full of belly dancers and Arabic music. DJ Sota Entertainment Provided the Amber Uplighting which helped set a great decor for the evening. The Dancefloor was full all night long.

Courtney and Ashley’s Wedding took place and Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach. It was a beautiful day and DJ Sota Entertainment was honored to be a part of it. We provided service for both the ceremony and reception and custom tailored the music to exactly what Court and Ashley wanted. Big Canyon is an amazing venue with wonderful scenery and architecture. Paperback weddings did a great job filming the event and I shared the video below.

It was a pleasure DJing Keith and Nancy’s wedding. The Reception took place January 2013 at the University Club on the UC Irvine Campus. It was beautiful and fun wedding. We played a mix of Latin music, Hip Hop, rock and 80′s music . All the vendors were a pleasure to work with and mostly importantly all the guest and the Bride and Groom had a great time.

“Just had my wedding and Dakota and Dave did a wonderful job. They were both fun and professional which is a rare mix but something you definitely need for a wedding to go smoothly. Dakota was able to work with me on last minute changes to the timeline like it was the easiest thing ever for him. For me, weddings are all about the music and the fun you can show your guests, which I think wedding DJs should be known for, but in particular I was trying to stay away from the whole cheesy DJ thing, Dakota was able to class it up while keeping it fun. That’s peanut butter and gold in my book. If I could use one word to describe this awesomely musical experience it would be fabidociosglitterawesomenuttyfuntimes. That’s right, I just made up a word because there are no words to describe the awesomeness that is Dakota’s shizzle. If you want your event to blow your mind, then this is your choice. If you want your mind to not be blown, if you want to be bored and be a douchy face, then you should go elsewhere. Bam! Let your mind be blown…..” – Nancy

Devin and Shannon’s wedding took place in a beautiful location in Murrieta. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and a tented reception. This wedding had more candles than any other wedding we have ever been a part of. Holly with her team at Simply Sweet weddings Coordinated and did a great job. They worked very hard to set up over 1000 candles and to get all the other details in place. This was a very special wedding and the guest had a great time. Sam and Brittani’s wedding was at the Huntington Beach Hilton Waterfront Hotel. It was a beautiful day in February 2013. Their theme color was purple and we did purple up lighting for both the ceremony and reception. For their Ceremony we played Vitamin String Quartet, For Cocktail hour and Dinner we did a mix of Soul, Oldies and Jazz. For dancing we did a mix of almost everything and the guest had a great time.

Mike and Brooke’s wedding took place in Long Beach in Fall 2012. They had a beautiful ceremony at an Orthodox Christian Church, followed by their reception at The Reef Banquet Center overlooking Long Beach Bay. DJ Sota Entertainment provided a cocktail system in the foyer area as guest arrived and a main system in the banquet room. A very special moment is when the Bride surprised the groom by singing “They Way I am.” Her and DJ Sota Entertainment coordinated this prior to the event. We also supplied a H20 water effect light on the dance floor and Color wash lights. Everyone had a great time. Full Spectrum Photography captured some great images.

Mike and Danica’s Wedding was at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton. It was a beautiful Outdoor wedding in October 2011. The Groom Mike McClure has a lighting company that strung over head lights and the twinkle lights on the hedges. DJ Sota Was the DJ and we had a fun time with the music playing artist like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Ronettes, and Santigold, The Kooks and Jimmy Eats World.

Chris and Helen’s Wedding took place at Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano. It was a beautiful wedding. Holly with Simply Sweet Weddings was there extra early to get all the decoration details perfect. DJ Sota Entertainment provided music and sound for their ceremony and Reception, but they had a jazz duo handle cocktail hour. They had a buddhist ceremony led by monks. It was really special hearing the monks sing throughout the ceremony. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a great time. DJ Sota Entertainment had everyone dancing and was kept an hour overtime to keep the dance party going.
